Astral People, Handsome Tours and triple j are thrilled to announce AJ Tracey’s headline Australian shows this summer. This announcement lands ahead of the imminent release of hotly anticipated new music that he has just started teasing on social media.

Bringing his distinctive, eclectic flow and hit singles to Australia for the national touring Laneway Festival, AJ Tracey will also perform at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday 2 February.

AJ’s been on the down-low recording upcoming solo material over the past year, and working on side-projects like Nike’s campaign raising funds for Grenfell FC, a soccer club set up after the UK’s Grenfell fire, which works to provide young people in the local community with new opportunities. AJ is currently in album mode, so it’s possible that Aussie fans will be treated to brand new bars during his performances. It’s been a year and a half since Tracey released his last track, Summer 2022’s ‘Seoul’ freestyle,

Emerging via the UK grime scene back in 2015, the London-born artist has continuously pushed the boundaries of UK rap throughout his self-built journey. Combining a diverse and unique style with his innate talents, AJ Tracey continues to effortlessly make music that easily translates on a global scale, defining him as one of the most in-demand UK artists internationally.

His groundbreaking self-titled debut LP shot to #3 in the UK charts, has been streamed over 250 million times globally and was one of the top-selling independent debuts during its year of release. On his sophomore concept album Flu Game, which reached #2 in the UK, AJ Tracey backed things up and proved he’s the ultimate musical polymath with bars that blend seamlessly over UK garage, grime and drill, trap, R&B and Caribbean soca music inspired by his Trinidadian roots. The impact of his releases was reiterated this year when AJ was awarded the UK’s ‘Brits Billion’ award for achieving over 1 billion career streams in the UK alone.

His list of collaborators reads as a who’s who of the international rap and R&B world – Stormzy, Dave, T-Pain, Kehlani, Headie One and more. AJ Tracey has been named as DJ Mag’s Best British MC, as well as receiving nominations for MOBOs, BRITS, AIM Awards and landed two placements in triple j’s Hottest 100 thanks to his verses on 'Ain't It Different' with Headie One and on Aitch's 'Rain'. His latest collaboration, with German artists Jamal and HoodBlaq for ‘BONITA’, was released in September and scored AJ a debut top 40 single in Germany.

Don’t sleep on tickets – they won’t last long.
