British legends Squeeze return to Australia in April 2027 with their Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour, celebrating more than 50 years of timeless songwriting and iconic hits from one of the UK's most influential pop bands.
Formed in 1974 by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, Squeeze are one of pop's most beloved acts, with a catalogue of enduring classics including Up the Junction, Tempted, Cool for Cats, Another Nail in My Heart and Labelled with Love. Renowned for their exceptional live performances, The Guardian has described their shows as "pop perfection."
Squeeze remain one of the most revered and distinctive bands in British pop history. Led by the incomparable songwriting partnership of Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford, their legacy spans more than five decades of masterful songwriting, outstanding live performances and lasting cultural influence. Between 1978 and 1996, they scored 11 UK Top 40 singles, including six Top 20 hits. Their songs have become woven into the fabric of British songwriting alongside the works of The Beatles and The Kinks, influencing artists from Lily Allen to The Killers.
Joining Glenn Tilbrook on the Australian tour to celebrate more than 50 years of Squeeze—and the release of their new album, Trixies—will be bassist Owen Biddle, percussionist Steve Smith, keyboardist Stephen Large, drummer Simon Hanson, guitarist Leon Tilbrook and backing vocalist Danica Dora.
