THE TANGO SALOON release their long-awaited third album ‘Shadows & Fog’ on new label Romero Records – The band has always blended tango and spaghetti western sounds with other elements such as film scores, rock, gypsy, jazz and electronics. On ‘Shadows & Fog’, the tango really takes a back seat to these other elements. Following in the dark footsteps of ‘Transylvania’, the new album is something of a film noir score, conjuring images of figures lurking in the shadows, a midnight rendez-vous, a heist gone bad, betrayals and double-crosses… The album features 10 of Australia’s finest instrumentalists, plus special guest vocalist Elana Stone on first single ‘Femme Fatale’.
MISS LITTLE is all about presenting the story of the song, sometimes pretty and sometimes challenging, but always honest. In 2010 frontwoman Sarah McCallum won the Crowded House songwriting competition – her vocals impressed so much that they invited her to join them on stage at the Hordern Pavillion.
BRIAN CAMPEAU has been known to stop a room with a whisper. Having spent the past few years building a profile with The Rescue Ships (a partnership with Elana Stone), tonight Brian will make an increasingly rare solo appearance.
