Thievery CorporationSplendour In The Grass line-up, will now perform a headline show, playing Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
Both will feature a full live band line up and draw material from throughout Thievery Corporation’s stellar career.
In 1996 Thievery Corporation released ‘Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi’, an album which established themselves as trip-hop frontrunners. Since their debut the electronic duo have delivered four more critically acclaimed studio albums – ‘The Mirror Conspiracy’, ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’, ‘The Cosmic Game’, and ‘Radio Retaliation’ – plus three remix albums ‘Abductions and Reconstructions’, ‘Babylon Rewound’ and ‘Versions’ – in addition to various DJ mixes and film soundtracks.
In 2010 the duo selected their favourite tracks, producing a retrospective compilation ‘It Takes A Thief’, featuring ‘Vampire’, ‘Shadows of Ourselves’ and perhaps their best-known track ‘Lebanese Blonde’.
Thievery Corporation’s sixth studio album ‘Culture of Fear’ is set for release June 2011.
