My dad often says, ‘Keep yourself nice.’ It means, ‘Just be a good person.’

I think more people should take my dad’s advice…including myself. Basically: I’m going to tee off on arseholes for an hour…including myself.

Keep Yourself Nice is Michael’s first full-length live show in three years. Since his 2007 Festival show Buddha, Bluey & Me, Michael has been busying himself in television studios and comedy rooms across the country.

A gifted raconteur, Michael’s skill for storytelling is never more apparent than when he is on a stand up stage.

As both a stand up and writer, Michael’s dance card is regularly full. In 2008 he was co-host, writer and producer on The Mansion on the Comedy Channel, has been a cast member and core writer on three seasons of popular Australia sketch show skitHOUSE, and just wrapped up his fifth year as a contributing writer on Rove.

Most recently Michael has presented comedy segments for ONE HD’s ‘Thursday Night Live’ as well as writing and producing comedy sketches for the 2009 TV Week Logie Awards. Don’t miss Michael’s masterful return to live comedy this Festival.
