Already announced as co-headliners of next years Golden Plains Festival and as one of the highlight acts for the 2009 season of the Perth International Arts Festival, Feel Presents are now proud to announce a string of theatre shows for Scottish group, Mogwai.
It’s the Scottish band’s third visit to our shores and their most ambitious Australian tour to date having sold out all of their east coast shows on their July 2006 tour as well as making a major impact via their much talked about performance at the Splendour in the Grass Festival of the same year.
TV on the Radio attacked the Supertop with a glistening guitar foundation but it was Mogwai in the GQ McLennan tent that built a skyscraper into the interstellar universe and convered with alien life forms ibn riot gear. It was an intense conversation on the sonic hemisphere, the vocoder getting a working through three of their songs, leaving one punter to exclaim: “That was the best show I have ever witnessed!” - FasterLouder.com
Mogwai’s most recent album, The Hawk is Howling, has also sparked a cavalcade of interest in the band with the terms “classic” and “epic” being bandied around pretty liberal abandon.
Live, though, is where Mogwai are really at and if past tours are anything to judge by you won’t want to miss Mogwai live next March.
